🔥East Lincoln County Fire Station Update🔥
For 20 years, the vision of a new fire station has been in the making. It hasn’t been easy — three bond attempts failed, and the journey has been full of challenges. But with determination, community support, and persistence, we are finally seeing progress.
Community Support and Funding 💰💰
Thanks to generous donations from CPI, Starker Forest, and Representative Gomberg, and a key grant awarded in 2021, this project moved forward — even though we faced delays with permits and engineering.
Clarifying the Purpose‼️
This fire station was not the result of the recent split with the City of Toledo. Instead, it was created to fill a critical gap in emergency response coverage for the eastern part of the county — ensuring faster 911 response and better handling of major emergencies.
A Hub for Cooperation🚓🚒🚑🚚🌲
The station will be accessible to our partners and cooperators including:
* Oregon State Police (OSP)
* Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF)
* Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO)
* Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT)
* Pacific West Ambulance(PWA)
It will also be available for use by the public as a community resource.
New Headquarters 👩🏻🚒👨🚒
Following the split with the City of Toledo, this station will now serve as the official district headquarters for East Lincoln County Fire & Rescue.
Construction Progress🔨🪚🧱
Work is well underway — walls are going up, and the building is taking shape right before our eyes.
This station represents:
* Years of planning coming to fruition
* Blood, sweat, tears, and sleepless nights from many dedicated people
It’s a dream turning into reality, and we can’t wait to share every step with you.
Stay Tuned!🎬
We’ll be posting exciting updates regularly as construction continues. Thanks for your ongoing support — the best is yet to come!
